Tundai Village Homestay

Day 1 ARRIVAL PALANGKARAYA – TRANSFER TO VILLAGE

Pick up from the airport and enjoy lunch at the riverside restaurant, Kampung Lauk, serving traditional food, grilled fish specialties.  Transfer to jetty to be picked up by a canoe, which will transfer you to the village. Meet the family and settle into your room. Canoe to the black water lake in the afternoon, looking out for wildlife!

Day 2 TUNDAI FOREST

Early morning join your host in his canoe in his daily activity of fishing on the river. Return to the village to have lunch with the family. Cook the fish freshly caught from the river. After a stroll around the village, a canoe will take you to the flooded forest to glimpse wild orangutans (only available in the wet season)

Day 3 RETURN TO PALANGKARAYA

After breakfast departing to Palangkaraya, and transfer to the airport

Includes: All transfers, transport, activities and accommodation as indicated, simple village meals during homestay, English speaking guide, arrangements with village.
 
Excludes: Kampung Lauk meal, additional snacks or personal needs.

Itineraries are samples only, and are subject to seasonal river conditions. Due to seasonal low water levels, some of the activities in this homestay may not be possible. Best times to come are October to July.
