Day 2

Passing the beautiful forested island of Pulau Bapallas, watch for orangutans in their natural habitat seen in Animal Planet’s “Orangutan Island” series. The boat continues its journey up river to the town of Tangkiling. If time permits, stroll along to their traditional Sunday market.

From Tangkiling, cruise again to the island of Pulau Kaja. Enjoy glimpses of orangutans in the trees from this beautiful waterway.

Have a delicious lunch on board as we continue up river, passing thickly forested river banks, to the village of Kanarakan. Stroll around the village accompanied by a local guide, visiting villagers’ gardens and learning about local herbs & natural medications, accompanied by a village elder – enjoy coffee while listening to the stories about the village and Dayak culture.

Cruise back to Tangkiling, passing Pulau Kaja. Keep an eye out for orangutans in the island forest

In the afternoon, return to Tangkiling and transfer to the Resort. Relax on your final evening and have dinner at your leisure from the Resort’s set menu.
