Duration – 1 day
Minimum 2pax
Our English speaking guide will pick up from your hotel for the 20 km drive to the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation’s rehabilitation area and Education Centre. Visit inside the Education centre for a close look at young orangutans in the program – these may be waiting transfer to pre-release islands or in socialization programs. Watch them at play behind the glass screen, and later view a video outlining the BOS program.
From here we drive the short distance to a jetty to transfer to a local canoe for a pleasant trip through narrow waterways to the Rungan River. Pass the beautiful forested islands where orangutans awaiting release into the wild are living.
Return to your car for transfer back to your hotel in Palangka Raya. Tour ends.
Includes : Car transfer from hotel to river and return, English speaking guide, permit costs and entry fees (Rp 250,000 to BOS Foundation), boat transport, Indonesian lunch at Rungan Sari Resort
Excludes : Personal expenses, additional transport requests
Note – needs at least 1 day notice to obtain permit.
